How we work

What you can expect once you hire us

The attorney is responsible

The attorney personally reviews the assessment, strategy and key documents in your case, and discusses important issues with you directly rather than only through an assistant.

Written guidance, transparent progress

At each stage you get a written document checklist and timeline, and we let you know promptly about filing, receipts, requests for evidence and decisions.

Fees explained up front

Before work begins, we sign a written engagement agreement setting out the scope of services and attorney fees. Government filing fees, translations and other third-party costs are listed separately.

Honest risk assessment

If a path has a low chance of success, or now isn't a good time to file, we'll tell you directly and explain why, along with any alternatives.

Confidentiality

The information you share is protected by the attorney's duty of confidentiality and is used only for your case.

English and Chinese

You can communicate in English or Chinese. Documents submitted to the U.S. government are in English, and we'll explain the translation requirements for any foreign-language documents.

Consultation process

How a first consultation works

1

Send a request

Contact us through the form on this page, by phone or on WeChat, with a brief description of your situation and the visa type you're interested in.

2

Confirm a time

We first run a conflict check, then confirm the consultation time, format (in person or video) and fee with you.

3

Consultation

The attorney learns about your background, analyzes the possible paths, their requirements, timing and risks, and answers your questions.

4

Plan and engagement

If you decide to hire us, we provide a written plan and fee quote; work formally begins once the engagement agreement is signed.
